Places of Sanctuary Ireland is one of many groups adding its voice to a call to Irish politicians to extend a hand of welcome and compassion to hundreds of vulnerable children stuck in Northern France. With thousands having already raised their voices to say ‘We Welcome Refugees’, the coalition of groups has won cross-party support for a call to welcome 200 unaccompanied minors to Ireland. A vigil will take place tomorrow evening outside the Dail, and a petition signed by thousands handed to the politicians.
